Yoga is all about balance, and while a led yoga class can be beneficial and feel great, it may not address your individual body's needs. This can lead to physical imbalances being exacerbated, which could eventually lead to injury.

A private lesson is specifically designed around your requirements and are ideal if you are wanting to fix body imbalances or injuries, work towards specific goals including achieving specific yoga poses or simply want a more personalised experience.

There is no need to shuffle your schedule to fit yoga into your day anymore! Private classes can be done at a time and place that is convenient for you, whether that be your workplace, home, or at the Treetop Retreat Yoga Shala.

If you find yoga and other self-care practices difficult to fit into your busy life, then this is for you! We can come to you at a time that fits into your schedule, and personalise the sessions according to your needs, goals and time restrictions.

AT THE TREETOP RETREAT YOGA SHALA

We also see private clients at the private Treetop Retreat Yoga Shala in the leafy suburb of Kenmore. The peaceful yoga space will allow you to be completely focussed without the distractions of your everyday life.

ONLINE USING ZOOM

Private classes would suit you if:

  • you want to address imbalances in your body

  • you want to recover from injuries as well as prevent them

  • you have specific goals for flexibility, strength or meditation

  • you find certain yoga poses elusive

  • you have never done yoga and want an introduction

  • you want to develop a personal practice

  • you often can't find the time to attend scheduled classes

  • group classes can feel overwhelming

  • you prefer personal attention in a tailored, one on one class.

What can you expect from a private yoga class?

  • 1st Session

    After filling in a short questionnaire profiling your physical background including medical history, exercise regime and goals, the first session is about working through your personal requirements, any history of injuries and assessing your range of movement.

    At the end of the session a short sequence will be provided for you to practice at home.

    This session is approximately 90 minutes.

  • 2nd Session

    After thoroughly analysing the needs outlined in the first session, a sequence of poses and exercises is designed with a clear focus on the agreed upon goals.

    The second session reviews this sequence addressing any limitations or injuries, with the focal point being proper alignment and ensuring you understand the purpose of each pose or exercise.

    This session is typically 60 mins.

  • 3rd Session and onwards...

    The 3rd and subsequent sessions are about assessing your progress, and making adjustments in your sequence as your body adapts to the program.

    While a minimum of 3 sessions is recommended, regular weekly or fortnightly sessions achieve the best results, for constant progress and maintenance.

    These sessions are typically 60 mins.

Cancellation Policy:
